The following appeared on internet-exploiter.com: (Original article http://www.internet-exploiter.com/musicreviewatoriumdropliftreview.htm) The Droplift Organization This sort of creative activity is the reason I wake up up in the morning. DIY media at it's best...What is The Droplift Project? Well, it means the opposite of shoplift...a varied group af artists who sneak copies of their CD into major record store all around, leaving them inconspicuously located in between all of the Britneys and boy bands, for the taking. Perhaps the most intriguing part of the whole thing is the fact that the Droplift home page supplies all of the music (Mp3, Wav, RI, or AIFF) for free download, along with the CD's template, so anybody who wants to make some trouble can burn a copy for themselves... But what about the music itself? Well, like many people out there, Droplift has jumped on the digital copyright hysteria bandwagon, and for good reason. The music is mostly different forms of sound collage, taken from storybook records, TV, Movies, radio, and samples of other more recognized "artists," hence the song "Marilyn Hanson Pt. 2" by Seditious Halibut Media. This is the real reason the Internet was invented. For more info, go straight to the source at www.droplift.org
