The Droplift Project
The Droplift Project is a culture-jamming exercise, in which CDs are made and surreptitiously deposited on the racks of record shops, where browsers may find them. The CDs consist of experimental tracks following in the footsteps of Negativland, Plunderphonics, the KLF and numerous SubGenius doktorbands, all using lots of uncleared samples, and protesting against the recording industry's anti-sampling hard line. All are available for downloading too. Get it before the RIAA sees this.
